General Info

One of the oldest houses in Patmos, Villa Selene is a traditional edifice built in 1522, offering its guests the abundant luxuries of an all-inclusive retreat, while, at the same time, creating a secluded haven placed right in the heart and soul of the vibrant Chora of Patmos.

Just 100 meters away from the landmark of the island, The Monastery of St. John the Theologian, this is the first ever house that the Monastery issued a permit for, allowing a family of Cretan immigrants, the original owners, to build it.

The high and thick walls around the property that were designed to protect it from pirates ravishing the Aegean back in the day offer today a calm sense of privacy. At the same time, the terrace and its spectacular views of the mountains and sea are furnished into a lovely sitting area, giving the house a strong connection to its surroundings.
